A huge footwear ancillary industry will also be set up at YEIDA, announces Group CEO Ashish Jain

Von Wlax Germany Group laid the foundation stone of the second phase of its new footwear plant at Jewar, Noida. The plant is being built in an area of ​​10,000 sq. mt., with a covered area of ​​1,30,000 sq. ft. The Group is investing Rs 300 crore here. The foundation stone was laid on Friday, October 4 in the august presence of Chief Guest Shri Dhirendra Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Jewar and Guest of Honour Shri Arun Vir Singh, CEO, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL). Shri Kapil Singh, IAS, Additional CEO, Smt. Shruti, Additional CEO, Shri Ashfaq Saifi, Chairman, Minority Commission Uttar Pradesh and several international and national dignitaries were present on the occasion. All the partners of the company from several countries including the US, Germany, Dubai, Middle East, Africa, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China and Japan attended the ceremony. Mr. Ashish Jain, CEO, India, Von Vlux Germany Group informed that this is the first modern footwear plant of its kind to be set up in India using German technology. The factory will be a vertically integrated unit producing over 4 million pairs, which will be exported to over 80 countries across the world and also sold in the Indian market. This is a unique collaboration wherein a German and an Indian company are combining German technology and Indian population advantage. All types of footwear, including sports shoes, will be manufactured in the men, women and children categories using unique patented technology and eco-friendly techniques. The collaboration between the companies will be in the areas of technology transfer, research and development, marketing and production.

Furthermore, Mr. Ashish Jain also announced that the Group will also set up a huge footwear ancillary industry at YEIDA itself, under which outsoles, insoles, interlinings and other non-leather raw materials will also be produced. This will improve the availability of quality raw materials, thereby substituting imports and increasing exports. With all these factories, we are planning to provide direct and indirect employment to around 10,000 people. The total investment will be Rs 300 crore. This project, which is one of the biggest footwear projects that have come to India from China after Covid, was announced by our Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath as a big step to make Uttar Pradesh a major hub of trade and industry. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal also cited this project as a big win for our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's broader vision of 'Make in India'. MLA of Jewar Shri Dhirendra Singh declared that it is a matter of pride for us that companies with so many cutting-edge technologies from Germany are shifting their entire base from China to Jewar, India. He also stressed that such labour-intensive industries will prove to be a big milestone for employment generation in the region and bring prosperity to the local people. Mr. Arun Vir Singh, CEO, YEIDA said that it is wonderful to see that technologies focused on renewable and other advanced raw materials, diabetes and orthopedics, which were earlier produced only in the West, are now coming to India and will be exported across the world. He emphasized about the use of new age technologies which will bring a big change in India’s footwear industry with companies like Von Wellx Germany, and promised YEIDA’s full support to make this project a success.

It promotes good health of feet, knees and back and comfort for 12+ hours of standing. The company will manufacture diabetic shoes, orthopedic shoes and footwear for all types of foot problems using German 5 zone technology.
