Legal Literacy and Awareness Camp in Dubeypur: Emphasis on Women's Rights and Duties

A legal literacy and awareness camp on the topic "Vidhan se Samadhan" was organized by the District Legal Services Authority in the auditorium located at Dubeypur Development Block Headquarters. On this occasion, Additional District Judge and Secretary Vijay Kumar Gupta highlighted the importance of women's rights and duties. He said, "Women have rights, but their duties are equally important. To get rights, it is necessary to have a sense of duty. If women understand their duties, the situation of dispute will be less. To solve the problems, all women have to be aware and for this it is necessary to participate in the camps of the District Legal Services Authority."

Tarkeshwar Singh of Legal Defense Council said that women should take advantage of the laws related to domestic violence and sexual harassment at the workplace. He advised those women who are finding it difficult to get justice that they can get free justice by submitting an application in the District Legal Services Authority located in Diwani. Panel advocate Amit Kumar Pandey informed about the facilities available from the District Legal Services Authority. Kumari Anjali of Deputy Defense Council gave information about good touch and bad touch to avoid sexual harassment at the workplace and told the women that crimes against girls should not be hidden, so that the criminals can be punished.

In the program, One Staff Center Manager Sita Singh also informed the women that if they have to leave the house, they will be given 5 days of free stay, which will also include police protection. Assistant Labor Commissioner Madhuban shared information about the labor department's schemes for women and workers. Para legal volunteers and other officials were also present in this program, who helped in understanding the legal rights of women. This camp was important in making women aware of their rights and safety.
